Baby Ford, aka Peter Ford, is the proverbial living legend. There would be no UK acid house scene without him - well, kind of. With more monikers than Snopp Dogg has rims in his possesions, he has released records as Soul Capsule, Casino Classix, El Mal, Solcyc and most frequent as, you guessed it, Baby Ford. His early work was heavily influenced by the acid house sound of the late '80s as well as by Chicagoan producers such as Marshall Jefferson, Ron Trent, Armando, and Larry Heard. Back then, Baby Ford appeared primarily through the Rhythm King label, and included classic cuts such as 'Oochy Koochy', 'Children Of The Revolution', and 'Fetish'. After being the first British acid popstar, Ford moved own to establish his own labels Trelik (with Eon's Ian Loveday) and I-Fach (with Mark Broom) that released a broad spectrum from experimental techno to sublime house.
