Sofrito is an international collective of DJs, producers and musicians based in East London, and is headed up by Hugo Mendez, Frankie Francis 'El Diablo' and the Mighty Crime Minister. They are responsible for throwing some seriously legendary Warehouse Parties in East London, playing the heaviest in afro, latin and tropical sounds new and old whilst releasing music on the Sofrito Specials label. For their 2009 Tropical Halloween special, the crew invited Miles Cleret of Soundway Records to a friendly clash and this one hour set recorded exclusively for RBMA Radio captures selections from three DJs and One MC, and definitely encapsulates the sound of the current tropical revolution.
