Fabrice Lig

Melodika, F-Communcations, Belgium

If you like your techno soulful and melodic chances are high you have stumbled across the emotional harmonies of Fabrice Lig from Belgium. Particularly known for his uber funky use of Rolands SH101 analog synth, there is no doubt he is a mastermind of the genre. His unique technosoul stylings have been released on some of the finest labels around such as KMS and 7th City from Detroit, F-Communications from Paris and Playhouse, Kanzleramt or Raygun from Germany. It was in 1998 when the wet dream of many techno producers turned into reality for Fabrice as motor city legend Mad Mike himself elevated him to Detroit's hall of fame - thanks to his classic remix of E-Dancers track 'Banjo' on Kevin Saunderson's KMS imprint. Since then, Fabrice has built a solid reputation, regularly gracing the decks and performing live at some of the best clubs and festivals such as Fabric (London), Fuse-In (Detroit), Sub Club (Glasgow), Respect (Paris), Sonar (Barcelona), the Montreux Jazz Festival as well as touring everywhere from the US to Japan and Australia. In 2005 he completed a compilation of his best tracks for Technasia's Hong Kong-based Technorient label and also launched his own label Melodika. With collaborations with producers like Japanese legend Ken Ishii regular remix work, as well as projects like his Soul Designer project on F-Communications, it's a wonder Fabrice can find time to craft beautiful mixes like this one. Shake a Lig!
