Vladislav Delay, Uusitalo, Luomo, Conoco, Sistol. Under a raft of different names this Berlin-based Finnish artist (born 1976 Sasu Ripatti) has experimented with ambient, broken beat and glitch as well as with different grooves and soulful vocals attached to house music. In addition he has collaborated with and worked for a wide range of artists ranging from Scissor Sisters and Craig Armstrong to AGF, Black Dice, Massive Attack, Towa Tei and Ryuichi Sakamoto and also as part of the Moritz von Oswald Trio. While his side-projects and remixes are there to flirt with more stable rhythms and dance floor institutions, his main love as well as his background is in experimenting with different kind of sounds and rhythms; a quest to find some music not heard yet. Here we have the soundtrack of Vladislav Delay expaliend by the man himself. Hear him talking about how moving doesn't effect his work, how he likes to change his equipment after every album and start from scratch, his thoughts on jazz music and how he feels about his different aliases.
