Mr. K - who better to make us more than just a wee bit excited at the prospect of an anecdote or two, than New York's own Danny Krivit? This DJ don behind the immensely popular 718 Sessions events in Manhattan and part of the Body & Soul triumvirate, is a veteran of the New York music scene. From meeting James Brown and DJing at the age of 14, Danny credits David Mancuso giving him more confidence to take the dancefloor "a little left of centre". Danny plays us many of that era's classics in his own edited versions including MFSB's 'Love Is The Message' and talks about his influences and peers Larry Levan, Nicky Siano, David Mancuso, Francois Kervokian and Frankie Knuckles. Another delight and one that's definitely going to make a hyper excitable bunch of dancers get down to an early morning moment - Marvin Gaye's 'I Want you'.
