One of the most exciting bands to come from the scene around LA's 'The Smell' Club, Health had a, well, healthy sense of purpose from the very start. Playing free shows when they felt they should, recording their first album during empty mornings at the club that was their home base at the time, and putting equal care into everything they did put them on the map swiftly. Aiming for the loudest walls of sound, the most danceable remix tracks and the prettiest t-shirts around they haven't scaled down their ambitions since. Their second album, 'Get Color', sees them shape the noise with impressive musicianship, skilled songwriting and an unrelenting sense of urgency. Few bands can pull this off, but then again few bands would follow Pantera and Arab On Radar with Stevie Nicks in their Headphone Highlights.
