Seba

Secret Operations, Stockholm

Hailing from a small isle close to Stockholm in Sweden, Sebas first releases were seminal tracks on LTJ Bukem's Good Looking imprint. His collaboration with Lotek, 'Sonic Winds' or his own tracks like 'Planetary Funk Alert' are rightfully regarded as absolute classics of the genre. Later he started the Secret Operations club night and the label of the same name. And then, for a few years between '99 and 2002 he disappeared from the scene. Secret Operations lay dormant while he released some House tracks on Swedish label Svek. Few people expected he'd return to Drum'n'Bass and even fewer people would've guessed that his revived Secret Operations label and his collaboration with Paradox or Krazy would sound as fresh and energetic as they have these last couple of years. The Bukem-like atmospherics are still in place, but they go along with a new found sense of roughness, making Metalheadz a natural home for some of them. Many years into his career, Seba is still a groundbreaking pioneer of sound.
