Let's go Back2Back. Back to the roots and culture, to an era of rib quaking dub at smoke-filled blues dances, with scratchy rare groove and hip hop blasting out to a mish-mash crew of thrill seekers at the original warehouse parties. This is where, Justin Langlands and Dave Henley first met and where the Pressure ideal was born. After establishing themselves as serious selectors, they branched out and became resident DJs at the legendary 'Artists Against Apartheid' sessions with ex-Special Jerry Dammers and continued to rock the underground scene at various illegal shenanigans with their eclectic attitude. In 1990 Justin and Dave decided to produce music themselves and make their mark with the 12" 'Back2Back'. Released under the artist name of Pressure Drop the resulting tune sounded radical. It still does. It was a blueprint, a statement of intent... Alongside their music making and label running, the duo continues to take their DJ talents to the four corners of the globe. Armed only with a bagful of vinyl, a sense of history and an expansive imagination... their world is roots and culture. Jah, Rastafari!
