Simone White has been travelling throughout her life. Born in Hawaii, she moved around the United States throughout her youth with her artist parents and once she left home, she moved to Seattle, where she started playing the guitar, then to London, where she photographed bands, then on to New York where she refined her guitar playing, finding her singing voice along the way. By now she's living on the West Coast and has recorded her latest two albums in Nashville with Mark Nevers (because she liked his work on a Bonnie 'Prince' Billy record). Somewhere along the way she developed a fine sense for universal feelings of love, loss and loning that take her songs way beyond the Americana genre, offering solace and a sense of homeliness wherever you may hear them. All that makes the Honest Jon's label a quite fitting homebase for her.
