Before King Creosote was born, Kenny Anderson was lead singer of a couple of different bands including Skuobine Dubh Orchestra and Khartoum Heroes. In the 90s, Kenny decided to retreat from the music industry to a cottage in a Scottish fishing village from which he later emerged as King Creosote, releasing 4 albums on Fence. Recently signed to Domino Recordings, Kennys new album sidesteps a lot of the folk influences of his previous oeuvre and embraces his favourite era in music the early 80s. This Headphone Highlights does the very same thing as Kenny digs out some pop classics as well as a few lesser-known cuts from some of the biggest bands of that era...
