Robot Koch

Jahcoozi, The Tape vs RQM, Berlin

Robot Koch is a music and food lover, an insomniac, a jazz drummer and a metalhead. The mastermind behind the critically acclaimed Jahcoozi and The Tape vs RQM outfits, Robot Koch has been cooking up that raw in his Berlin lab for years, also working with the likes of Amanda Blank, Rustie, Infinite Livez, Raz Ohara, Cerebral Vortex, Asian Dub Foundation, fLako, Loops Haunt, Al Haca and Berlin's very own version of Quasimoto, Marsimoto, to name but a few. After launching his own label Robots Don't Sleep (which he describes as "Motown with lasers"), he recently released his debut album Death Star Droid that sees him incorporate fragments of electrified hip hop, dubstep glitches and even a Doors cover version into his unique stream of robotic soul. If there actually ever was a Death Star canteen, be sure they played Robot's music at their most opulent feasts.
