The Vivian Girls are an all-girl indie rock band out of Brooklyn NYC. Mixing three part harmonies with 1 part feedback, their noise-pop is reminiscent of classic mid-80s alternatives such as The Vaselines and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Sweet vocals atop noisy guitars always do it for us, so we made sure we caught the girls when they passed through London on tour recently. With the odd pop-song in there to lighten the mood, this is nevertheless a guitar heavy selection packed with noisy, underground garage rock just like we like it!
