Guillermo Scott Herren burst onto the hip hop scene in 2001 as Prefuse 73 with his groundbreaking 'Vocal Studies And Uprock Narratives' on Warp Records. He had already released two albums under different monikers - 'Sleep Method Suite' by Delarosa and 'Asora And Folk Songs For Trains, Trees And Honey' by Savath and Savalas. Whereas these two works were tinged with folk, jazz and Scott's Catalan roots, his Prefuse 73 material was unashamedly hip hop, and 'Vocal Studies' was a critical and commercial success. Scott has since released several albums as Prefuse 73 featuring guests including MF Doom and Ghostface Killah. He has also set up Eastern Developments Music with Carlos Nino and friend,s and released a handful of records under his Piano Overlord moniker.
