Benga Adejumo is a young dubstep producer from Croydon, South London. He's the one to blame for the legion of people humming the narcotically addictive beeping hook all through 2007, from his pioneering Tempa release 'Night' with fellow steppah Coki. He's been on the scene for a decade already, since the tender age of thirteen when he first went to the lynchpin club night FWD, and heard his debut track Skank being spun by Hatcha. A slew of influential tracks followed - his spooky, heavy early teen collaboration with Skream, titled Judgement; reggae-sampling unreleased gems like World War 7 and The Fittest; and tracks that match his plugged-into-the-mainframe DJ style like the head-blowing, tempo-shattering Crunked Up. After his debut album 'Diary Of An Afro Warrior' dropped, he became a recognized force of skanking wobble mayhem, and has since been pushing the boundaries of dustup in whole new directions. More recently he even produced the track Me N My with weighty super producer Salaam Remi for US rapper Eve, which burnt up around the internet faster than a leaky petrol tank. Always working on new material, Benga always follows his own path, and your subs feel all the better for it.
