Having worked with Cristian Vogel (as Super Collider) and Matthew Herbert, Jamie Lidell went solo with a bang when he signed to Warp and released 'Multiply' back in 2005. With an energetic approach to production and performance matched by a voice and song-writing ability, which would have floored Berry Gordy, Jamie's talent struck a chord with a huge range of music fans. Re-naming himself Jim for his sophomore Warp release, Jamie pushed his live showmanship to the next level. Over the years he's amassed a who's who of admirers and collaborators, whether he's getting props from Elton John or he's working with Beck and James Gadson over in LA. Moving effortlessly from style to style, from multitracked beatboxing to wide eyed crooning, Lidell is the sci-fi-soul-man who's one step ahead. In this very special Headphone Highlights Jamie gives us an unashamed glimpse at what tickles his musical taste-buds...
