In the words of Dazed & Confused magazine, "something is raising its neon head in Russia". This producer, promoter and DJ runs two Moscow club nights, Lies And Jealousy and Odyssey (previously Opa!Opa! and Thriller Acid Allnighter), which have been described as a playground of debauchery, with guests like new world beat sensation Diplo, French electro house king Mr. Oizo or Gomma Records’ Headman. Dmitri Ustinov alias Taras3000 calls his sound “a really sick disco brew of everything”, and to create it, he doesn’t touch a laptop. His live show consists of a band (vocals, guitar, keys, sax and clarinet) with an RS7000 sequencer, sampler, effects and synthesizer for those all-important chords, stabs and washes. His DJ sets are a different beast all together, deeply drenched in house history.
