An MFA graduate of the Parsons School of Design, El Santo is also a researcher, teacher and noisemaker. When not playing in bands like El Fat Chorizo or La Superbailable!, or looping up his Max/MSP vocoder live on stage, he’s producing insane sample-based music that is somewhere between the harsh compositions of NYC sound artist Ryoji Ikeda, the experimental soundscapes of Finnish group Pan Sonic and Nine Inch Nails’ rough industrial rock. He is currently designing prototypes of sound interfaces that react to the whole human body. Oh la la, Bogota!
