Then came the Platinum Pied Pipers and called themselves PPP... A collaboration between Waajeed from Bling47 and Saadiq, with guests like Sa-Ra and Spacek, PPPs album brought a blend of Detroit soul, hip hop, house and rock to the table. ?uestlove from The Roots made the following statement after digesting it: "I listened to the album 'Triple P' seven times in a row. I made 23 friends listen to the album 3 days straight... at gunpoint - I'm on the run. I will go to jail for Platinum Pied Pipers." Don't worry, the Roots' drummer is still a free man, nobody got hurt and PPP is going stronger than ever. With Gilles Peterson's World Wide Award in one pocket and bills with Roy Ayers and Mark Ronson or festivals like Coachella and the Montreal Jazz Festival in the other, there is nothing to fear. Like a lot of cats from the D, it's all about the music. Platinum has never sounded so good! Especially not in Barcelona with an exclusive live jive at the infamous Razzmatazz club.
