Alright? I'm Goldie, I live in Croydon. I'm 75% English and 25% Swedish. I'm a producer and 'rapper'. I'm not very techy, I don't like wires or being a computer boff, it takes me a while to work things out but when I work it out it sounds amazing. To me anyway. People always ask me what style my music is. I don't know really, a bit of Electro, a bit of Grime, a bit of Garage, a bit of Pop and a bit of Hip Hop. I more look up to guys than girls, I've never been a girly girl and most females in the music industry are used, abused, and rubbish (or groupies). I get inspired by people like Lee Scratch Perry, Dr. Dre, Hall & Oates, Gwen Stefani, MIA and Kanye West. I don't listen to any tunes by new bands 'cos there are too many to keep up with. I listen to people like Musiq, So Solid, The Eagles, Chris Brown, The Streets, Ludacris, Girls Aloud, The Game, Kelis and NERD. People often ask me how I got into production. I used to sing a bit, play the drums, and I knew I wanted to make beats but I wasn't really sure how. I found this little college type place called CM (Community Music). They offered production and performance courses, and without them I wouldn't be where I am today. They have taught me pretty much everything I know, and hooked me up in numerous different ways. They teach in a non seniorative way (if that's a word?) and it's really hands on, which I loved. So yeh, check em out at www.cmsounds.com.
