Inside Out - Latin American Edition - Vol 8 feat Los Bunkers (Chile)

Panamérika

Latin America

Welcome to the exciting and colourful cosmos of PanameriKa, Red Bull Music Academy Radio's window to Latin America's vital music scene and its protagonists. PanameriKa is... the star on Ch Guevara's beret, a tickle on your stomach from the stolen Montezuma's feather crown, Maradona's header aided by the hand of God - himself - in '86, a golden apple that you won't find on Carmen Miranda's cornucopia-hat, and what's hidden beneath a mariachi's sombrero. Whatever implications you might have made on things worn on the head around the Americas, put a pair of headphones on, and let us blow your mind with a true selection from the new sound booming all along PanameriKa. Presented by Reactor 105.7's glamorously-voiced seorita Elvis (yes, it can also be a girl's name around here), and a team of music-luchadores, PanameriKa is selected, written and produced by Uriel Waizel in the Ibero 90.9 radio studios in Mexico City, with the technical post-production savvy of 'Fo', and the assistance of Jimena Albert. PanameriKa will provide you with an enlightening array of references on the bountiful production of music coming from this side of the planet. Atencin, though: Spanish is spoken here, but then again, you may skip those classes this way, and save some dinero, amigo! For this edition we hooked up with Los Bunkers, one of the most promising acts in the Latin American alternative music scene. Chilean of origin and Mexican by residence, they come to present their latest studio album to PanameriKa: Barrio Estacin. This is a selection made by the band themselves on top of an interview with Elvis presenting their likes and dislikes within Chilean music and their favorite tracks from their record. Bacn!
