1999 Academy-alumni Jonathan Craft's musical background dates back from his childhood in Antwerp, Belgium. Already interested in mixing music and playing musical instruments as a teenager, he starts professionally behind the wheels of steel at the age of 21, after moving to The Netherlands. Around the same time, Jonathan founds a record store called "The Underground", plays at several well known clubs and parties in The Netherlands such as Funki Bizzniz or Roxy and gets love for his deep and eclectic style. His RBMA experience evokes an interest in the facets of producing and after little time, Jonathan is crafting his own tunes. After moving back to Belgium in 2003, Jonathan starts the dj-producer project Jazztronauts, with a first release on RBMA's compilation "Various Assets" (produced in cooperation with downstairs neighbour Vimster, who was also selected for the Rome edition of RBMA). He and his partners also start organizing Broken Beat parties "Beats and Bubbles" in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, and "Puzzled" at Kaaiman with top notch guests like Bugz in the Attic, Volcov, D'Stephanie and of course the Jazztronauts themselves. Today Jonathan is working on several projects and is doing his first steps as a freelance studio engineer. J(sp)ace is the place!
