Coming from a day and age, where Fabio and Grooverider were just about to invent a UK-specific dance phenomenon on their own, Storm had an epiphany at one of their 'Rage' clubnights that this is what she wanted to do herself. Together with her mates on the dance floor, Kemistry and Goldie, she went on to create the Metalheadz. From there on, Storm has always been one of the most influential DJs within Drum'n'Bass, known for tight mixing skills and exclusive selection. As one of the Metalheadz label's chief selectors, she represents the crew at their residencies, label nights and tours as well as countless solo gigs. More recently, she's linked with other like-minded female Drum'n'Bass artists to form Feline and has travelled with the crew to dates in across Europe as well as making regular appearances as a 'Feline' resident at their club night at London's Herbal. Affectionately dubbed the First Lady of Drum'n'Bass, Storm's career has also had it's lows to match the highs. In a tragic accident returning home from a gig, her best friend and DJing partner Kemistry was killed beside her. Storm carried on with the music, continuing the passion they had shared for Drum'n'Bass and leading the way as a role model for aspiring young female artists to break into what is still a male-dominated scene. For this session she teams up with the mighty MC LowQui. With over a decade of experience at some of the biggest club nights across the UK and beyond, it's no surprise that he is Goldie's number MC of choice. Over the years LowQui has worked with a diverse range of UK crews and record labels such as Metalheadz, Movement & Liquid V, and most recently D-Bridge's Exit Recordings. This session was recorded live at the Red Bull Music Academy stage at Melt! Festival in Germany. This ain't no quiet Storm!
