Dimensione Jack - Vol 2 - Dimensione Emozioni

Marco Passarani / Pigna People

Pigna, Final Frontier, Rome

Ladies and gentlemen, signore e signori, strap on your safety belts, activate plasma beam detectors. Rome's finest techno-logists are here to transport you to outer audio galaxies, with funk, electro, italo, techno and Jack tracks as ballast. Wonderful Academy team member Marco Passarani has played a pivotal role in the Italian techno scene since the early '90s, DJing, promoting and running his Finalfrontier distribution company. The labels Nature and Pigna ensued, along with a plethora of tracks by Marco and his talented cohorts Francesco De Bellis (aka Francesco) and Mario Pierro. Raiders Of The Lost ARP, Jolly Music, Pigna People and Mat101 are just some of their monikers. The Pigna camp's punchy RBMA Radio series Dimensione Jack promises an Italian twist on the great techno radio shows of old. Mojo, allegro: all systems are go! Again, produced by the Finalfrontier trio, this show is clearly inspired by the nocturnal rotation of Roman and Italian radios in the '70s and '80s. Although the Pigna People are not only playing old tracks. But that's the biggest part of it all. Emozioni means emotions, feelings... and being Italians they love to represent their constant romantic state of mind. Providing the show with melancholic, happy, nocturnal themes that are either on the edge or between popular and obscure, between classical themes and soundtracks, it has never been easier to dream a whole hour away.
