Snoring? Fat chance of that happening with Sinden in the house. Turbo mash-up don par excellence, the boy from Southend breaks down just how he manages to combine the best bits of Technotronic, booty bass, garage, techno and early Prodigy like some bad taste era Peter Jackson to capture the kind of energy that makes kids run from the gaming arcades and jump around like lunatics. Linking up with London bass house lynchpin Switch, Sinden found a way to fuse bass heavy beats with '80s synths and the music he grew up with into a cacophony of sound that sends forums into a rage, and turns dancefloors into a rave. Sinden doffed a patchwork cap to influences like Metalheadz, Public Enemy, and Wookie, as well as co-conspirators like Erol Alkan, Trevor Loveys and Herve. After teaming up with the latter one aka The Count and dropping the seminal "Beeper", the duo quickly became a clubland phenomenon. Regularly hammered by everyone from the Ed Banger crew to the more indie-edged dancing dens, their records regularly turn into massive peaktime party tunes. Having remixed everyone from Mark Ronson to Pharoahe Monch by way of Mr Hudson And The Library, Sinden (alongside production pal The Count) is currently recording his debut album for British uber-imprint Domino Records.
