Mad Decent Block Party

Road block! It's block party time, Mad Decent style. 2011 saw four stops across four weeks, as Diplo and the Decent crew curated a series of free all-day parties in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles. As well as the music, which included artists like Das Rascist, Gang Gang Dance, Bosco Delrey, Sinden, Major Lazer and our own Lunice, the block party atmosphere stretched to clothes and sneaker stalls, screen-print-your-own-t-shirt stands, and a whole manner of popping, breaking, and flipping, whatever the weather. The open-age policy and free admission took the block party ethos back to its roots, bringing some of that community spirit back to the streets. Bout ready to block!
