KOKO

KOKO has been bringing revelations to its audiences ever since it opened as The Camden Theatre on Boxing Day back in 1900. Functioning as a cinema and BBC theatre for most of the 20th century, it really came into its own musically in the 1970s, providing a platform for the first wave of punk bands, before turning into the Camden Palace, and became a regular haunt during the earliest gigs of the new romantic scene. After closing down in 2004, it badly needed refurbishment, and that wasn't a job for the light-hearted. Fortunately, the new owners recognized the importance of restoring one of Camden's most singular landmarks, and KOKO was born. Covering a vast spectrum of music in a unique setting that oozes history, KOKO has re-established itself as one of London's premier spots for live music and entertainment. We should KOKO!
