Fabric

Located next to Smithfield Meat market, the last of London’s “great markets”, Fabric is one of the last standing exponents in a long line of so-called British super clubs with a total area of 25.000 square feet. Founded by Keith Reilly and Cameron Leslie, it was opened in October 1999 after years of careful planning. Spanned over three separate rooms with independent sound systems, a unique feature of the club is its vibrating floor in Room 1, which attaches sections of the dance floor to 400 bass transducers. With a high quality music policy that is truly unusual for a club of that size, Fabric regularly hosts nights by labels like Kompakt, Clone, Sunday Best or Playhouse as well as booking supreme selectors Andrew Weatherall, Ricardo Villalobos, James Holden, A-Trak, Omar-S, DJ Zinc, Radio Slave or Metro Area amongst others. Some of them are also responsible for the club’s renowned mix CD series and in conjunction with RBMA Radio you can find recordings of Senor Villalobos, minimal gentleman Robert Hood or DFA's James Murphy plus tons of stuff to come.
