Anapop Festival

Red Bull Music Academy’s AnaPop festival is an initiative that celebrates that rich but slept-on musical legacy of Anadolu Pop. Four days of workshops, exhibitions and collaborative orchestral concerts take place in Istanbul, featuring legendary Turkish psychedelic rock, funk and pop artists of the period. Academy alumnus Baris K, who has become an ambassador of sorts for Anatolian music of the '60s and '70s, is one of eight curators of the event. Past artists have included Pilooski, Okay Temiz, Osman Ismen, Derdiyklar and many other pioneering Anadolu-influenced acts. Delightful!
