livingroom.fm

livingroom.fm is a project in Basel, Switzerland that blurs the lines between festival, temporary radio station and arts project. Based around Basel's art museum, it hosts Stadtmusik.fm, a festival with a month worth of future-minded music, ranging from the manifold shapes of electronic music to the non-academic outskirts of new music. Adding to this physical presence in the city, livingroom.fm has run a temporary FM licence that broadcasts a program that both documents the festival and invites the over one hundred contributors to focus on progressive tendencies on any other cultural field. Since 2011 they have turned into a 24/z internet radio, spreading the spirit of the festival season across the year. On the festival bill Red Bull Music Academy alumni like Onra, Fatima, Mari.Cha and Sassy J appear alongside folks like Theo Parrish, Appleblim, Lusine and Little Dragon, turning Basel into the hottest place to be in August.
