Electron Festival

Geneva's Electron festival has built its reputation over seven years exploring the nucleus of good music via a comprehensive program of cutting edge performances at all tempos. Orbiting around different venues in the lakeside city, Electron-ites can explore varied body contortions: whether stepping to Loefah, Nitzer Ebb or Isolée, shuffling to Burnt Friedman and Jaki Liebezeit, viewing a showcase of skateboarding films, or experiencing the footwork phenomenon care of a Planet Mu showcase with DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, Chrissy Murderbot and a troupe of dancers. Electron’s program is rounded out with exhibitions, workshops and panel discussions, which this year include an Indian electronic music showcase and an exposition on modern-day lute-making featuring hijacked synthetic sounds.
