Radio Guerilla

Radio Guerrilla has quickly become one of Romania's most popular stations despite only starting to broadcast in 2004. But it's ethos and programming immediately struck a chord with Romania's youth, with its upfront music policy and socially-minded viewpoints. The Radio Guerrilla slogan is 'Eliberadio', a pun on freedom and radio, and you can tell this radio is fighting for the cause to bring underground sounds to your stereo, and liberate your ears from mainstream imprisonment. But they're not just about emancipating music - they also run an initiative called Team Radio Guerrilla, involving several of Romania's most forward-looking DJs, who exchange cultural and political ideas. The regular show featuring on RBMA radio is hosted by class of '07 and dubby-breaks champion TRG, so you know the platters are thick slice.
