Positivus is perhaps one of the most suitably-named festival on the whole circuit - after two days in the beautiful town of Salacgriva on the North Latvian coast, even the gloomiest pessimist will be calling his glass half-full. In three short years, Positivus Festival has become the biggest event in the Baltics, with more than 50 artists performing on eight stages. But Positivus is about more than just music, offering a vast range of activities including cinema, theatre, art, yoga, and plenty of activities for kids - all just a stones throw from the beach. This summer saw an Academy take-over with alumni Seiji, DJ Quest, Madis Nestor, and Ki En Ra performing alongside the likes of Moby, Sinead O'Connor, Pete Doherty, and Ebony Bones. And it seems like the only lows to balance out these highs are the cheap ticket prices - heaven really is a place on the Baltic coast!
