Punk archetype and DIY blueprint club Bodytonic first started out like most good ideas, as a concept down the boozer. But what was initially conceived as a house night in the local pub has blossomed into a fully-fledged company operating between the worlds of event promotion, music production, and record labels, all centred around the hub of the Bodytonic website. In their words, "the name of the game is to put on good parties and gigs, put out quality music and content via the site, and bottom line, have as much fun as possible in the process," which could easily be the mantra of every party-starter worth their salt. With the website acting as their hub, they are always looking for how to push the scope of its digital capabilities - bottle-necking the information superhighway with interviews, photo galleries, podcasts, as well as an innovative news page called Mash, allowing you to scan the latest stories in the world of music from twelve other websites, including the Academy site, all in a glance. Exploring the future of music, both online and off, has been these guys stock-in-trade since 2002, and shows no signs of slowing down. Red Bull Music Academy Radio will be at the front row of some of Dublin's top nights like MUD and Pogo, bringing them straight to your desktop. Refresh crew!
