FBi Radio

This independent community-based radio station has been around since 1995 in some shape or form, rocking the test-broadcast airwaves until they got an official license in the summer of 2003. FBi, or Free Broadcast inc. is what radio should be all about, promoting local and national artists, and championing them alongside international acts. Keeping their own voice means that FBi doesn't have to pander to advertisers, or adjust their playlists, so their radio shows are played, produced and presented by enthusiasts who know what they're talking about. Transmitting 24 hours a day, they're a beacon in Sydney's cultural and musical landscape, teaming up with institutions like the Opera House, and spreading the word about good honest music wherever it rears its headphones. Academy teamster Lorna Clarkson has her weekly show 'Under The Influence' every Monday, featuring plenty of Academy fam. That's FBi, fyi.
