Reworks

There's a quiet revolution happening in Northern Greece, tucked away on the upper Mediterranean coastline. The Reworks festival has been marching on in the name of music and modern art for four years, exploring the intersections of sonic and visual culture, and flying the flag for multimedia collaboration. Under the artistic supervision of NON, Reworks has hosted over 250 artists, both local and international, and has expanded from a one-dayer to a two-day event. Festival goers are just as likely to come across video installations and artistic concepts as much as a live set from the likes of Greek producer And.Id, or local selector Mari.Cha, as they wander the maze of stages and rooms in the historic industrial Vilka complex. As well as giving Greek performers an international platform, Reworks also brings artists to Greece for the first time, and has set the Macedonian mountains ringing to a new tune.
