Flow Festival

Flow Festival

Each year since Flow Festival's maiden voyage has seen the festival grow while still sticking to its mission of bringing top quality music to Helsinki. Originally a project initiated by the Nuspirit Helsinki collective, the three day festival in August has quickly earnt a global reputation, showcasing cutting edge producers and DJs alongside well-selected mainstream acts and the most interesting live bands from the worlds of jazz, indie, and experimental. The site hasn't always been the same during the festival's history, but their home in the historic Suvilahti power plant since 2007 has proved an ideal location right in the heart of Helsinki. The festival also acts as a platform for the diverse music scenes of Finland and its many labels, clubs, and record stores, as well as architecture, visual arts, design, and cuisine. Alongside the usual sponsors, Flow also includes cultural bodies of Finland, and more recently has partnered with WWF, proving that festivals can also be about more than just raving to decibels of bass.
