c/o pop

Don't be fooled by c/o Pop's embrace of pop culture – Cologne's “festival of festivals” is anything but throw-away. Threading together a network including the city of Cologne's cultural dept, the state of North Rhine Westphalia, the Federal Cultural Foundation, the Goethe Institut, and this year the European Union itself no less, c/o pop pulls no punches when it comes to their heavyweight series of conferences, exhibitors, music stages, and international artists. Their reach is extensive when it comes to performers too, with over 200 DJs and bands supplying five days of music. However, it's been their Europareise project that really puts c/o pop apart from the crowd, establishing the festival as an internationally recognised congress for the creative industries. Bringing representatives from 70 festivals and 27 different countries has ensured that c/o Pop is at the forefront of the ideas and developments that shape today’s festival industry. The co-operative festival family just got a little smaller.
