Audioriver

Audioriver

Audioriver might sound like some cutting edge music technology website, but it's actually pretty straight-forward - a four-stage music festival exploring some of the newest developments in dubby, techy, electronic dance music, in a panoramic setting in the historical and one-time Polish capital Plock, on the bank of the mighty Vistula River. While there's plenty of metaphors to be made about waves, water, and music, Audioriver doesn't stand there shivering, but dives straight in. They bring some of the world's leading DJs and producers, like Radio Slave, Efdemin, Rusko and Caspa, Joakim, Richie Hawtin and many others, all mixing up styles and bridging disciplines. Over 14.000 people descended on Plock to throw styles on the dancefloor, re-fuelling themselves in the day time with films at the Przedwiosnie Cinema, Sunday afternoon music on the Muzzo Stage in the Old Market Square, or just wandering the narrow streets and admiring the 12th century architecture. Red Bull Music Academy Radio was there to catch the best bits, with plenty of Academy alumni spinning over the two days. This is one river we don't need a lifejacket for.
