Quincy Jones and Patti Austin might have made Razzmatazz into a dance floor goose-bumps anthem, but the Barcelona institution takes it that little step further and multiplies to the power of five. The five different clubs and its interconnected series of corridors and walkways is all part of its charm, and on any given night you can find indie rock bands in the downstairs Razz Club, pounding techno and kicks in The Loft and Lo-Li-Ta, while the Pop Room and the Rex Room bring the tempo down a notch with disco, house, and electro vibes. Razzmatazz attracts some of the world's top-flight acts across all these styles, and the grimy, industrial back roads of Poble Nou seem to bring a certain punk credibility to the club. You can find anyone from bikers, club kids, porn stars, music lovers, and tattoo artists, hanging around outside after last orders, not unlike a scene from the Thunderdome. Red Bull Music Academy Radio brings you select highlights from those always sizzling Barna nights. We can make it better with a little bit of Razzmatazz!
