Tokyo's ageHa, located in the Koto district, has been bringing spectacular club events to the Japanese capital since 2003. The thousand strong venue consists of the main dance hall, but has plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, such as the additional lounge areas, an open terrace with swimming pool, outdoor dance tent, and even its very own beach area, complete with palms, deck chairs, and a warm orange glow. The name ageHa translates into Swallowtail Butterfly, which neatly captures the mutability and flexibility of this state-of-the-art event space, but it also goes by the name Studio Coast, partly inspired by its proximity to the waterfront in Tokyo's reclaimed industrial district. The programming at ageHa can cover a multitude of genres in any one weekend, linking international guests with local dons and upcoming artists alike. Float like ageHa.
